The thing is, it isn’t just food that is being cooked. The idea is to cook something that’s tasty. To be honest, taste more than nutrition is what children, especially teenagers, want. In order to ensure adequate nutrition, mothers need to take the cooking game a notch higher.

However, mothers are not the sole custodians of the precious art of cooking. It’s always a good idea for the teenagers to step into the kitchen. Put your culinary skills to use and cook up a bite-sized delicacy.

Well, the good old spaghetti with meatballs is one such delicacy. The recipe isn’t time-consuming, which means you won’t have to spend hours in the kitchen to enjoy a hearty snack/meal.

Ingredients

  • A bowl full of spaghetti
  • Meatballs (½ kg)
  • A few bread crumbs
  • Chopped parsley
  • Chopped parmesan
  • 1 egg (not boiled)
  • A couple of minced garlic cloves
  • Salt (as per taste)
  • Red pepper flakes (½ tablespoon)
  • Extra virgin olive oil (for garnishing)
  • Chopped onions
  • Chopped capsicum (a couple of them)
  • Bay Leaf (1)
  • Some black pepper would do wonders

Procedure

  • First of all, take a pot that’s large enough and boil some water in it.
  • Now, add some salt in it and let it boil for a while.
  • After the water starts boiling, add spaghetti into the bowl and cook it.
  • Ditch the tastemaker
  • Once the cooking part is done, drain access water and transfer the spaghetti into a separate bowl
  • Garnish it using chopped onions and add tomato ketchup to it
  • Mix the contents well

For the meatballs

  • Take a separate bowl and add breadcrumbs to it.
  • Now, add parmesan, parsley, egg, meatballs, garlic paste, red pepper and salt to it.
  • Mix the contents well and ensure that the mixture ends up covering the meatballs.
  • Now, take a pan and heat some oil in it.
  • Add the meatballs to it and cook them on medium flame.
  • Cook them for about 10-15 minutes (until they turn brown in colour)

Once the preparation part is done, mix the meatballs with spaghetti and garnish it using a little olive oil.

Happing cooking, folks!
