Positivity Can Change The World
So what technically is a normal person? Is it a person who is always happy, singing happy songs? Obviously not. It’s a person who lives in the middle, neither too sad nor too happy. Yes, they do feel down sometimes because of life, but they find a way to get up again. Now with the increasing awareness of mental health, we have found that people since time began had mental illnesses. They were said to be possessed or even badmouthed as abnormal beings. Let’s readout “How Positivity can change the world”.
These days there are normal misconceptions about this topic, but truly, mental illnesses are just like physical illnesses. If you tell a person with a broken leg to walk, it would be ridiculous. In the same way, you can’t ask a depressed person to “just, be happy.” Don’t you think they’ve tried already? They can’t because their brain has stopped producing dopamine – the happy hormone – and their serotonin- the mood controlling neurotransmitter- is facing abnormalities. So, they can physically put up a smile but won’t feel happiness.
Every human being has different capabilities, while you can lift 40 pounds, others might not be able to lift 15 pounds. Similarly, you can manage to be positive throughout your life, even in the toughest of situations. But some can’t bear the burden. Everybody has a breaking point, and it may differ from person to person. As a result, you don’t know what the mental illness may be or how it is caused. There are several ways people can have mental illnesses: their childhood experiences, their traumas, their triggers – literally anything.
How to Be Positive
So I am going to tell you about how to be positive in tough situations like a weight trainer might teach you how to lift 40 pounds worth of weight. Staying positive is not like math, there isn’t a fixed formula. The way I cope with stress and tough situations in my life is by looking for the ray of sunlight at the end of the dark tunnel. By looking at the glass half full, not the glass half empty. This way I gain the strength to fight tough situations with a smile on my face. And trust me, there is always a ray of sunlight at the end of the tunnel. ALWAYS.
Additionally, there are many ways to commercially help induce happiness, like laughter yoga. Yes, it is the same thing that old uncles do in a park where they throw their hands up in the air and fake laugh. It is scientifically proven that even fake laughing helps induce dopamine and solves problems like anger issues, anxiety, chronic stress, etc. A cliched line is “you have to find your own happiness” but it’s true. I like to draw and paint to release stress, whereas someone writes, and some other person goes to the gym. Everybody is different, but everybody is strong in their own way.

You just have to find your strength to get through everything in life. Because trust me, in the end, it will be for the better, and it will make you stronger. Another cliched line is, “unity is strength”. Help others, listen to others. Even if you can’t help them physically help them mentally, be their shoulder to cry on, and don’t let them give up. Be their motivation and help them get through problems in life. This doesn’t only help them, but also you.
